My Handy Husband

Kurt has never claimed to be a handyman but over the years with the guidance of both our Dad's and a few very handy friends he has done a few projects around the house. But this one is his best yet. Our sink cracked down the middle of one side Saturday night ( the day before Easter of course) luckily we could still use the other side and the dishwasher so it wasn't that bad. The down side was that Kurt had to go out of town for work till Wednesday. But I found the sink we both wanted for a great price and Kurt and my Dad got to work as soon as he came home on wed and finished this morning. A new sink, faucet, drain, soap dispenser, and plumbing. And it work and looks great! Good bye old crappy plastic sink and patchwork plumbing!

Joshua's Master Artist Class

Andy Warhol's "Sam the Cat"
Joshua's "Noki the Cat"
Joshua is taking a new after school class by some local artists. They are learning about a new famous artist each week and then use that medium to make their own art. He loves it and it's fun to see him try new things.

Michael's Handwriting

Michael is doing great in preschool this year. We just got his spring report card and his teachers say he is creative and inventive but also stays on task and listens well. We knew the first part but we were both pleasantly surprised that he is well mannered and listen in class, YEAH! He also had his pre kindergarten screening and did awesome. We were worried last year if he's be ready for kindergarten next year since he'll be 5 this summer, but now we're sure he'll do great!

2 Year Check-up

Yesterday Hazel had her 2 year check-up. She's in the 5% for weight a whopping 22 .8lbs. And 63% for height, 38.9 inches. So her combined height to weight ratio is at 1%. Yeah, she was my biggest baby at 7.6lbs and my smallest 2 year old. She only gained 4lbs this year, she eats really well so she must have the metabolism of a race horse. She'll love that as a teenager. Everything else is fine and the doctor is not worried about her weight it's pretty much been below 15% most of her life, she just had a growth spurt this year. She doesn't look that tiny but when you lift her she's as light as a feather. I think this is a tender mercy from the Lord since I have to lug her around everywhere while pregnant!

Conference Weekend

The kids we awesome this year for General Conference. I made them each coloring packets and new sets of crayons to keep them busy. The brought out their little table and colored as we watched all the session on Saturday. I was so nice to actually be able to pay attention to multiple session of conference this year. The talks were all great and I'm sure when I read the ensign later I'll wonder when that talk was given because you always miss something, but I got a lot out of it this year. On Sunday we had Karlene and Anson's family over to celebrate her golden birthday and watch conference. It was fun and the kids played really well together then we got to eat yummy strawberry cream cake.

Strawberry cream cake from America's test kitchen. Easy and super yummy!

Easter 2012

Easter was fun this year. The Easter bunny brought lots of candy and some fun angry bird clothes for the boys and some drawing stuff for Hazel. They devoured most of the candy for breakfast and were wired for the rest of the day but did surprisingly well at church in their new outfits. As you can see in the pictures Michael and Hazel can't stand still. After church we went to my parents house for a yummy Easter dinner and an amazing Easter egg hunt put on by my sister. e had a wonderful day with family and a great sacrament that reminded us why we have Easter.

Hazel's 2nd Birthday

Instead of a regular party we had a play date with all her girl nursery friends followed by cupcakes.
Her favorite present was a set of 3 pairs of princess high heels. She been wearing them ever since, even with sweats!
Breakfast at with Mommy then shopping. She kept smiling and waving at everyone eating around us.
With her favorite person, Daddy, wearing her princess dress that matches her doll she got from the boys.
Her pretty fingers after our mani/pedi's at home after shopping. I bought quick drying nail polish shortly after this experience.
Her pretty toes!
